That was how the idea for the show was sold to Sidney Newman back in 1963, but it soon became clear that that was no more than a fig- leaf to cover the fact that it was an exciting adventure that was all about entertaining people rather than informing them.  It's not really even science fiction any more but fantasy. At its best, it can be very good fantasy, but admittedly in recent years it hasn't been at its best very often.

It's not even fantasy. It's degenerate woke soap-opera aimed at sexually grooming children. Fantasy has self consistent logical rules which have to be followed and doesn't contravene basic laws of science without a believable explanation. This degeneracy is pure nonsense written by someone with the mind of a 4 year old child, and children don't like shit written by children, and neither do adults.
