S3 is in production.
Oh, GOODIE, so that means at least two more seasons for Aggy
to tell us all about!!
And when will you get to see it?

Fortunately he has us all here to keep him up to date on
everything that happens in the meantime. Isn't he a lucky man?
Dave is wrong though. Season 3 is not in production. Bad Wolf have done some pre-production work on spec - commissioning scripts
etc - but until the deal with Disney is renewed or cancelled, they won't
have a clue of budgets so can't commit to anything for the BBC.
If Disney re-up - even at a lower rate - then S3 will go ahead as planned.
But if they don't, expect a delay while the begging bowls go round to
Netflix, Amazon, Apple, Paramount, HBO ... and if none of those bite, minor
co-funding asks of RTE, ABC Australia, BBCA etc, before a cheaper (maybe
much cheaper) S3 is put together. Fewer episodes, lower budgets, fortunately a lot of the Disney moolah has
been spent on long term assets like the TARDIS set and CGI capabilities so
it won't go back to looking like the Eighties.
