Colin Baker was pretty bad, but then so was his successor
Sylvester McCoy with his Poirot-ised version of the Doctor.

Well there's something I have never heard said before. The
Seventh Doctor like Hercule Poirot! Captain Hastings would
have a heart attack if he read that!

I can't say that I see it myself...

I should probably have said a (then) modern day Poirot.
Sylvester McCoy is a funny little man who swaggered around
using that umbrella like a walking stick ... all that was
missing was the twee little mustache and the Belgian accent.
:-)
I think I prefer Poirot... ;-)
Just finished watching a three/four part Doce series on the life of Agatha Christie.
Poirot made her name and she wrote Mrs Marple in her later life, when Agatha and Marple were about the same age.
Interesting and annoying at the same time ..... The woman presenting it had a lisp!!
