 Melody Pond a.k.a. River Song "black"?? Really?? First I've read of it. Didn't we even see a young (white) Melody on some street before she, much later in her life, show up in the Sports Car in some field??

.... and, of course, I should have commented on 'adoptive', too!! I thought Amy gave birth to Melody whilst she was off being tended to by Eye-Patch Lady and The Doctor and Rory were off with Fake Amy!!
