Old news, he's been doing the convention circuits and saying good things
 about the franchise and the role for years now.
(Just don't mention the 2005 production team).
And this will be his fourth series (set of 12 50-60 minute episodes) for Big
 Finish, just the first to also feature Billie Piper.  Plus a River Song box
 set with Alex Kingston, whose character has now interacted with all the
 first 12 numbered Doctors, and - shortly - the War Doctor. 13 and/or the
 Fugitive can't be far behind, River in a same-sex relationship with the
 Doctor is surely an irresistible pitch.
