No 13th Doctor episode of Doctor Who was broadcast in April...
Probably the biggest April Fools joke ever is that here in New Zealand the new personal income tax year always starts on 1 April (business income tax years can be different dates). :-(
Here in Australia, the personal income tax year is 1 July to 30 June .... which reminds me ... I must get around to lodging Last Years return!! ;-)
Here we only get a couple of months to lodge the tax return (something like 7 July is the deadline) ... after that it is either tough luck or a fine. Although the tax is automatically calculated at the various sources, so most people do not need to do anything at all do not need to file a tax return at all. Only those people with special requirements need to fill to personal tax forms (these days online) - self-employed, claiming tax refunds for charitable donations, receiving overseas income, etc.
