Well, in fairness, I try (not always succeed) to not mix work with non-work if I can get away with it. For example, me and my girlfriend don't go to many concerts / musicals / operas. Not because we aren't into those things, but since my job is to evaluate and correct the errors my band kids make when playing their parts, it is hard for me to turn that off and just /enjoy/ a performance.
On the flip side, though, shouldn't you (still) be trying to improve yourself?? ;-P
