I do remember the moaning here and on other NG's about DOG's
on tv screens, usually channel identity logos. That and
shrinking credits were an issue for some people on quite a
few groups that covered television shows many years ago.
As I had come back from New York where anything goes in
regards to water-marks, logos, show previews and advert
strips on parts of television screens. (Even adverts during
live sports games!) I never saw it as a big issue... a bit

Irish and British TV is still quite tame compared to all the
shit that the US shows have plastered across their screens during
programmes over there. - Especially live sports.
