I proposed several "treaties" designed to curtail the fighting here, and

You continually bowed out of my proposed treaties because you claimed
that since you were the only one making 50 posts a day, the treaties
weren't making any concessions to you in return.
You counter-proposed that you would continue to bury the group in
spam-posts, but would refrain from name-calling, etc., if we did the
same.
Since we were primarily interested in cutting down on your spam posts
(and couldn't care less about the names you called us), we viewed your
counter-proposal as a demand for unconditional surrender (which, I
maintain, is precisely what it was).
We therefore needed to start annoying you as much as (or, preferably,
more than) you were annoying us.  That, and only that, would provide us
with a much-needed bargaining chip.
Thus, we created threads like "THE SHITHOLEVILLE MYTHOS: Ode to My
Slurp-puppet" -- which would have been more than enough to make any
normal person ready and willing to *bargain* for peace.
Unfortunately, we just didn't know how idiotically stubborn a Donkey
could be.

You don't understand even basic level English.
You created a toxic atmosphere here which drove *everyone* away.  Even
George Dance has said that he is only showing up here because these
posts are cross-posted to RAP (which is where he now hangs out).
You turned a poetry group into a place to swap insults (similar to Jim's
"War Room" which was an attempt to limit the animosity to a single
thread).
In doing so, you drove everyone away,  Myself included.
Speaking of which, this conversation is becoming exceedingly boring.  I
shall therefore abandon you to your socks until the next time I decide
to drop by.
