Waaaaaaay back in 2008[1], I was at a Half-Price Books sale, and I picked up both volumes of Galactic Empires as well as Billion Year Spree, all in hardcover.
For about 6 months they were in my short stack, and every time I went to read one of them, I'd flip through it briefly, and then grab something else.
Eventually, I moved them out of the short stack, and I still haven't read them.
Maybe some day?
