Maybe you will like the Woolly Mammoth that they are working on now better.
The woolly *mice* they made as prototypes are adorable. Girl Genius style

The woolly mammoth was hunted to extinction by men.
While human predation was a factor in their extinction, the last
remnant population wasn't killed by men.
Wrangel Island, in the Arctic Ocean, hosted woolly mammoths until
about 2000 BC, several centuries before the earliest human traces
appeared.
Who knows - one day we may find an Egyptian relief showing the
Pharaoh being presented a mammoth in tribute.
