Whoever runs that site is guilty of some pretty obvious cherrypicking of their figures.
The graphs are available for five areas - Eastern Arctic, East Coast, Hudson Bay, Western Arctic and Great Lakes. In four of those five, ice coverage is well below 1981 levels. Failing to point this out is heavily disingenuous at best.
