What Did You Watch?
Not much, as I focused on household chores.
soaps: DOOL - The "John Is Dead!!" (wait, I am sure I've heard this somewhere else before!....) tour continues. Ominously, Mon's ep gets a "Part 1" title card - I have a bad feeling that the *entire week* is going to be taken up with this! Anyway, this is John's funeral. I got only two, maybe three, things out of this: 1) I had forgotten that Tate and Ariana are cousins (can't wait until Tate finds out that Ari has been boffing Doug III!), 2) it's subtly revealed that Kat is working for the ISA(?) (stop trying to "save" this character! it's too late!!), and 3) Steve (Patch!) is retiring Black Patch - I have no idea what Steve will do now that he's not PI'ing anymore.
GH - Wow, they are really turning NuDrew into total pond scum - in this one, Drew traumatizes a child (Wiley) in order to weaponize him in the child custody case - worse, Drew was doing this just as NuMichael and Willow were about to compromise. Instead, the divorce/custody hearing continues, and Willow pretty much shreds Michael as a father on the stand, until Diane asks Willow the money question. Sidenote: I'm pretty appalled that Nina didn't speak up to accuse Drew of doing what he did when she clearly knows he's capable of it... Meanwhile, they continue writing out Lucky (didn't he just get here?!). I despise Kristina - now I think she's going to hire Cody to try to do something to Ava (maybe poison or drug her?).
The Last of Us (Max) - Ep's #2.4 & 2.5.
As predicted, this show is a *lot* less interesting after the developments in ep. #2.2.
In fact, this show is quickly devolving into a "The Walking Dead" clone (and, FTR, I did *not* like "The Walking Dead"!).
Anyway, there was a lot of stupid in here with Ellie and her new girfriend (Isabela Merced, nee: Moner), and with the Seattle stuff (with both the "militia" people and the "cult" people being wholly unsympathetic).
At least there was a tiny bit of payoff at the end of ep. #2.5, when Ellie finally gets some righteous revenge! REVENGE!! against one of the team she's been hunting, both slowly turning her into a fungus zombie *and* torturing her for info.
Just two more episodes to go. Clearly, they are not going to in any significant way tie up season #2's storylines by the "finale", though I'm guessing Ellie is going to finish off Seattle and turn them all into fungus zombies before this is done.
Sidenote: Josh Peck (Josh from "Drake & Josh"!) pops up here for a quick second as a red shirt!!
