This video has less AI-generated content but it goes a long way towards showing that these protests are anything but peaceful. Of course, knowing the way the Left loves to redefine terms, maybe setting police cars and Waymos on fire and looting stores is now deemed peaceful protest....
Given the numbers of rioters, it now makes sense to me that this is more than the police can handle on their own. Calling in the National Guard makes sense now. I still haven't heard why the Marines got called in; I would have thought the obvious thing to do was deploy more National Guard if the initial deployment wasn't enough.
