 It was not carbon monoxide poisoning and Gene Hackman's pacemaker recorded its last event on February 17, so that is likely the day he died. The final toxicology and autopsy reports "could be a month or three months or longer".

The articles I've read suggest that they both died where they dropped, in different rooms. That would have to be poisoning of some kind. If it had been a joint suicide they would have been together. So what could have killed them like that, and is there any way it could have been accidental?
