Something to do with a cook book....
Trivia: The newspaper that Patty picks up is the actual June 14, 1961, edition of "The Los Angeles Times." The top-most headline reads; "Specialist Checks John F. Kennedy's Back." The main banner headline reads; "4-HOUR POWER OUTAGE BRINGS CHAOS TO N.Y.," which refers to the previous evening's power failure in New York City.
The only episode in the series where someone other than Rod Serling directly addresses the audience.
Not sure if this counts or not but there was an episode where I think a guy could talk into a recorder and create things where they broke the 4th wall at the end when it was revealed Serling was one of his creation's too.

In 1976 Owlswick Press, Philadelphia, published a book titled "To Serve Man: A Cookbook for People" by "Karl Würf" (ISBN 0 913896 05 5, LCCN 76-004348). It contains 71 recipes, all using people, including Mannerschnitzel, Chile con Hombre, Arabian Tomato & Infidel Soup, Hungarian Ghoulash [sic], and Blood Sausage. It is dedicated to Damon Knight, "for the name, the title and the kind permission to use both". Adding to the joke is the fact that the Library of Congress classifies it, not as a satire, parody or literary work, but as a cookbook (call number TX652.W83), in the company of 5,306 other culinary works. This means that the cataloging librarian either didn't have a clue or else had a sense of humor. ("Karl Würf" is a pseudonym for the late science-fiction author and editor George H. Scithers.)
Without looking it up, do you know who plays the Kanamit?  ;)

I think now is a good time, for no reason in particular, to mention if you have access to the 2019 Twilight Zone series you might want to watch the episode, "You Might Also Like."

The Twilight Zone S3E25 'The Fugitive' - DVR
Old Ben has the strange power to change himself into anything, or anyone, he wants.  (Comcast)
Jenny and the other kids don't realize that the kindly yet magical old duffer they play with in the park is really an intergalactic fugitive hiding out till two serious men come looking for him, asking questions that test their friendship.  (IMDb)
The Twilight Zone S3E26 'Little Girl Lost' - DVR
Chris and Ruth Miller are awakened in the middle of the night by the cries of their child.  (Comcast)
Awakened in the middle of the night by the cries of his daughter, a father enters the girl's room to find that she has vanished - even though he can still hear her crying out for help.  (IMDb)

I can't believe I forgot about this episode.  Although now I can remember it pretty clearly.  Or at least the end.  Oddly I would have thought this was an 80s episode, but as far as I know they didn't remake it.

 What Did You Watch?

I watched:
Ghosts - "He Sees Dead People" - Jay's sister comes to visit and brings her boyfriend who knows about the ghosts but is falsely claiming he can see them too.  Wackiness ensues.
Damsel (Netflix) New fantasy movie starring Millie Bobby Brown as a Princess Bride who reluctantly agrees to marry a rich far off prince at the urging of her father.  She comes from a poor kingdom and they could really use the money the marriage would bring in by joining with a wealthy far off kingdom.  But what was inconceivable to the Princess Bride was the prince's plan to sacrifice her to a dragon.  Not bad. Lots of dragon in this movie if you like that sort of thing.
Halo (Paramount+) "Onyx" - I forgot to mention I watched this the other day.  I'm not too complicated.  I just want to watch stuff get blown up.   And so far this show is *not* delivering.  I do *not* care about politics or families or backstabbing or anything else that doesn't involve Master Chief fighting an alien.
