 In fairness the United States DOES have a serious problem with
migrants entering via her southern border. (I don't seriously think
that with the exception of during the worst parts of COVID Washington
in recent years has paid much attention to the northern border)
 It's serious and has been for years - especially during 2008-16 and
the present term. It's especially serious as the majority of refugees
from Mexico are either (1) fleeing not the government in Mexico City
but the drug cartels or (2) passing through Mexico en route to the US
from wherever it is they originated from. And the latter especially IS
a security threat to the US irregardless of whether you think those
fleeing the cartels are.
 

Sure.  And Republicans just crafted a bill that would help alleviate a lot of that problem.
Unfortunately for everyone involved, their cult leader has commanded them to vote against their own bill, and it won't pass until he passes.
