Friday Night Sext Scandal (LMN) - "Inspired by real stories"... Blech!!
This went pretty much as you would expect, except for the dude's mother refusing to let him confess to the police and helping him destroy evidence (a hard drive).
The lead kid (Anthony Timpano, who in a bit of feminist highhandedness is credited second, despite clearly being the film's lead and main focus)
More likely whoever got top credit had a better agent or was better known to the producers.

True.  See Superman: The Movie for an example of this.  You get Marlon Brandon, then Gene Hackman, then the director, then the title card, then finally Christopher Reeve.

must be small! as he was barely taller than Devyn Nekoda, and she's *tiny*!! (former ballet dancer).
Anyway, this is one of those flicks that will not be worth a rewatch, as it's both unpleasant and depressing (and also unsatisfying, as nobody really *pays* in the end...)

The Twilight Zone S4E03 'Valley of the Shadow' - DVR
A reporter (Ed Nelson) visits a town whose inhabitants can manipulate time, energy and matter.  With James Doohan.  (Comcast)
A reporter stumbles into a peaceful town where miracles seem to occur due to technology and the townsfolk won't let him leave.  (IMDb)
Trivia: James Doohan (Mr. Johnson) is one of 4 regular Star Trek (1966) actors to have been in The Twilight Zone.
I did not know that.  Although I don't really remember this episode.
  William Shatner was in
Nightmare at 20,000 Feet (1963) and Nick of Time (1960) . Leonard Nimoy was in A Quality of Mercy (1961), and George Takei in The Encounter (1964).
David Opatoshu (Mr. Dorn) also played the head of another place with strange secrets; in A Taste of Armageddon (1967) he was Anan 7, head of the council on planet Eminiar VII, in which the Enterprise landing party were also unable to leave, having been condemned to death by the computer-fought war.

The Twilight Zone S4E05 'Mute' - DVR
Parents raise their daughter (Ann Jillian) without verbal communication in order to fully develop her telepathic powers.  (Comcast)
The orphaned daughter of telepathic parents must learn to speak and deal with a world she cannot communicate in.  (IMDb)
Trivia: The main street that Ilsa runs across is the same one used in I Sing the Body Electric (1962). Located on the MGM backlot in Culver City, it was known as the "New England Street", and is same set that was featured in the Andy Hardy movies, starring Mickey Rooney., Elvis Presley's "Jailhouse Rock", Frank Sinatra's "Some Came Running" and the 1970s musical fantasy "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band", starring The Bee Gees, which was the last major film shot there. Much of the MGM backlot had been demolished in 1974, and the remainder, including the New England Street, was pulled down in 1978, soon after filming wrapped on "Sgt Pepper's".

I remember this episode but there's not really a twist that I recall. It was more like a melodrama about a girl who refused to talk while her adoptive parents fretted over her then she says I love you or something like that.  Or did some other telepath show up at the end but she stayed with the adoptive family?  Either way, there was no real twist.

Well, one good thing about working through all these TZ episode, my DVR is down to below 50% full.  :P
  What Did You Watch?

I watched:
Ghostbusters (4K disc) 1984 comedy about a team of scientists teaming up to bust ghosts because busting makes them feel good.  Holds up great.
Ghostbusters II (4K disc) 1989 sequel which answers the question when things happen, someone has to deal with it, and He-Man is not available, who you gonna call?  Sure, it could have been better, but I still like this one.  And for anyone wondering whatever happened to Dana's boss the museum curator, he became a summer camp counselor, then he changed his name, went to law school and became a lawyer.  And before he immigrated to America, he slayed dragons in his home country.
Ghostbusters (4K disc) 2016 reboot which has a new team of Ghostbusters forming to once again save New York from evil ghosts. I know there is a very vocal group that loves to hate this movie.  But I really like it. I laughed at the jokes, and I really like the story, especially the aspect of having the main villain start out as a twisted human intentionally releasing ghosts on the city.  And the movie just looks nice too.  I think this might have been my first time watching the movie in 2D instead of 3D.  I know the 3D disc is reference quality, but I just didn't feel like wearing the 3D glasses.  The 2D looked great but the movie clearly screamed to be watched in 3D.  There were so many scenes where things were coming out of the screen.  But in a very nice touch the 2D version mimicked 3D by having a *lot* of the effects come out of the scope framing (black bars) which made it look as if the shots were coming out of the screen.  It also had shifting aspect ratios which was another nice touch.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife (4K disc) 2021 sequel which continues the story of the 4 original Ghostbusters.  This one focuses on Egon's daughter and grandkids who move into his farm after his death.  The grandkids don't know he was a Ghostbuster but after finding his equipment they uncover a plot by one of the Ghostbuster's old enemies to destroy the world and only Egon was holding the door until his untimely death.  This was my first time watching this since seeing it in the theater.  It holds up very well.  But and I remember thinking this when I saw it the first time, it is pretty much a remake of the first movie.  Sure, it's a different cast (although all the originals except for Rick Moranis return).  But it hits all the same beats as the first movie. And it even has the same score.  In response to the 2016 movie, they went full on nostalgia for this one.  And they hit that nostalgia button hard!  You want more of the same, you're getting more of the same!  Good thing for them, I liked more of the same.  :-)
