WeWhat did you watch?
I'm making a big push this weekend to finish everything I can before I
go on vacation next weekend. So the focus was on grading/prepping
stuff, not TV watching.
Going anywhere fun? Although staying home and decompressing can be
loads of fun too.
Hawai-EYE-EYE.
Nice!
I'd actually have preferred to stay home this year, but for various
reasons, that wasn't going to happen. So I need to make sure that I get
everything done before I leave, 'cos I'm not going to get much done in
Hawaii!
Stop by 5.1 and maybe McCarrott will hand you a badge from his Drawer o'
Badges and let you work a case with them. Maybe even invade the
sovereign territory of a foreign consulate or something.
I used to live in Hawaii when I was very very young, maybe 4 or 5 years
old. I remember going to an amusement park called "Castle Park" which
apparently hasn't existing in decades. Other than that, I just remember
the weather was always pleasant.
I like the place but… Pleasant? Summer, when it’s 95°F and 95% humidity.

dry for hours until somebody explained that it would never ever ever
happen. All you could ever have were hot wet towels.
A friend of mine was smarter and they vacation in Hawaii for Christmas/New
Year’s when they have big fireworks displays.
Fortunately for me, I only have the good memories. If you can call the
vague blurs memories. Although I do remember the kid who lived across
the street had a bunch of Star Wars action figures. As far as the
weather goes, I just remember it always being nice. Or raining and then
once the rain stopped it was immediately nice again.
I was a teenager every time I was there. My dad built the Kuilima resort
(now the Turtle Bay Hilton) on the North Shore and used to commute (!) From
Phoenix.
