Hot on the heels of last weeks worst show of the series is a mundane entry.
There’s this ship that they’re going to sink to make a reef, but it’s still
docked and already full of the explosives which seems unlikely.

Agreed. Leaving that semtex sitting around on the ship is just asking
for someone to steal it.

When Knight
and Parker get trapped on it and even though it’s a crime scene they’re
still investigating it’s gonna get blown up the next morning. So Knight
gets killed trying to save Parker and Parker dies, trying to save Knight
while dreaming of angels of his mother and sister and his secret backstory
about why he hates boats (did we ever actually hear this before?) And he
apparently managed to get his sister killed. Both of them get better though
just in time for that bitch Knight to announce she’s taking a job in
California in front of her boyfriend who she hasn’t bothered to tell yet.
Vance thinks she’s perfect to train the rescue squads even though she not
only completely failed to rescue Parker she got herself killed in the
process.

Ah, but she was willing to take the risk to save Parker and risk
takers are what he wants. As for Knight, either she's got a gig that
will tie her up for some time next season or she will be back before
the mid point.

Much like they did with the Lucy character this season on NCIS HAWAII.
She was gone for most of the season as she was working on another
short term show. Which also likely helped the budget with the addition
of the Sam Hannah character. Then she returned to the show last week
with no notice by any of the characters even though she had been
aboard a ship for months. Yet everyone acted like she had never left.
Which means either they cut some scenes out or that was just poor
writing.

I cut your explanation of the NH show as I haven't watched it yet.
Will be sad to see it go as it was certainly much better than NCIS
SYDNEY SWEENY.
