According to Wiki there were roughly 121000 Sri Lankans in the UK in
2011 (no 2021 census figures yet) so that's a fairly small minority.

A wise man on the internet once observed "when victimhood is currency,
there are going to be a lot of counterfeiters". In other words, when it
is profitable to be a victim, lots of self-styled victims are going to
emerge so that they can profit.

I submit that this Sri Lankan figures that if he complains publicly
about the lack of dark faces around him at work, it will do one (or
both) of two things: 1. Hire more dark faces. 2. Promote him as a sign
of apology for their previous insensitivity in not hiring more like
him.
