With the end of Blue Bloods imminent, Tom Selleck has given an interview
where he expresses an interest in doing a 10th Jesse Stone film and
possibly writing it himself.
The quality of the earlier movies was significantly better with the
original production team versus Selleck taking over production and
directing a couple of them. I'll watch it but I don't have much hope
it'll capture the magic. The dog will have to be recast.
https://www.cinemablend.com/television/whenever-blue-bloods-ends-tom-selleck-knows-the-character-he-wants-to-return-to-nextI have never seen a Jesse Stone movie but I plan to look at some just to
see if they're my cup of tea. I like a good Western too so I may track
down some of Selleck's....
I can't think of Selleck in a GOOD Western.
That's unfortunate. Mind you, now that I think about it, I *did* start
watching Quigley Down Under once and didn't like it enough to stay to
the end. I also watched at least a part of one episode of Magnum P.I.
but I'm not sure I finished that either. I decided it was just too
ridiculously improbable that a guy who was operating a helicopter, which
must be an expensive beast, could lend it to his friend Magnum pretty
much any time he needed it. Surely he'd have to prioritize paying
customers so that he'd have some hope of keeping the helicopter and
maintaining his business. (I had similar objections to The Practice as
Bobby and crew eventually had nearly all their clients being "old
friends" who presumably got free or heavily-discounted legal work.)
