ABC Developing High-Concept Medical Drama VITAL SIGNS From GRAND
HOTEL Creator Brian Tanen & Kapital  (Nov. 22)

["Its heroine, Emmy Correll, is in a rut. She wishes her dull,
disappointing life was more like her favorite medical drama Vital Signs
where the characters are life-saving heroes with endlessly exciting
love lives. But when Emmy's wish comes true, and she is transported
INTO the show, she must confront whether this new life is what she
truly wants. Waking up in a TV show is disorienting! Especially because
in this world, Emmy is apparently a newly-hired doctor. But once she
gets over the shock, she realizes she's seen every episode; and she
knows what's going to happen. And that means here, in this world, she's
kind of a genius."]

I want to know Emmy's secret because I wouldn't mind transporting myself
into the world of BAYWATCH.

The men were mid 20s, reasonably athletic, very thick wavy hair on their
heads and an adequate amount of chest hair.

Ever notice that on BAYWATCH, the only unattractive people on the beach
were the bad guys? Why didn't the lifeguards periodically sweep the beach
for ugs as a preemptive measure?

A while back Gina Carano posed a question on the exTwitters: If you had to
be trapped in a TV show for a month, which show would you choose?

My first thought was BAYWATCH, definitely BAYWATCH. But then I thought,
no, I'd go with STAR TREK TNG, where my first stop would be sickbay to get
all my medical and dental problems fixed instantaneously and permanently,
and then I'd go to the holodeck and run the BAYWATCH program for the rest
of the month with special guest star Alex Daddario added to the mix.

I dunno about trusting the incompetent Dr. Crusher to do the job correctly
on your medical upgrades (and certainly not the dental stuff). I'll chose
the part of the TNG timeline when Crusher was misleading the med students
at Star Fleet and go for her replacement. Or maybe see if Dr. Selar is
still available to do the work

I also considered I DREAM OF JEANNIE, but that would only work if you
could be Major Nelson, because Jeannie's only hot for him and she had a
habit of magically punishing anyone else who so much as flirted with her.

Besides, with the holodeck, you could alternate between BAYWATCH and
JEANNIE and any other show you might want to visit. STAR TREK is the
answer to everything.

Nyssa, who would probably chose the original ST instead of TNG despite
the lack of a holodeck
