To elaborate some, the little TV is on all day, but I can’t hear it over
the roommate who has his true crime channels turned all the way up.
Well, you could always murder him! (He'd probably like that!!)

Or watch the True Crime shows with him.  Or are they audio podcasts only?  In which case, tell him to turn it down!
I watched:
Super Mario Bros. (blu-ray) This was the workprint version of the 1993 movie starring Bob Hoskins as Mario, John Leguizamo as Luigi, Samathna Mathis as Princess Daisy and Dennis Hopper as Koopa.  This was my first time watching this version of the movie.  It was a very interesting experience.  It's basically the same plot, with about 7 minutes of footage put back in.  I actually liked most of the restored footage. But the quality of the entire workprint is VHS level and many of the effects shots are incomplete. There are scenes where they are just standing in front of blue screen or you can clearly see the wires lifting people up.  But what I was by far most surprised by was the temp score that they left intact.  That temp score used very recognizable music.  I don't see how in the world they secured the rights to release this workprint with that music.  I have a feeling sometime soon someone is going to notice and this disc is going to get recalled.  I remember the same thing happened with "Little Shop of Horrors" they released it with the alternate deleted ending then someone noticed they weren't supposed to release that footage and recalled the disc.  I of course kept my copy.
I also watched an extra on the disc which was a cast and crew panel after a screening of the theatrical cut of the movie.  They basically talked about how much of a nightmare the movie was to make and how people kept on getting injured on set.  And they had actors who didn't know any better doing their own stunts and getting injured, but the professional stunt people were getting hurt too.  One of the panelists said her agent called her early in the morning and told her she could show up on set that same day and be in a movie which of course she rushed to be in the movie.  She said so many of them were just so happy to be in a movie they weren't questioning things like safety.  Then she later learned the reason they needed her in such a hurry is a different actress was so badly injured doing a stunt she couldn't continue.
Then I did a bunch of DVR clearing and watched:
Ghosts - "The Primary Source" - Sam wrote a book based on Isaac's life and managed to find a publisher, but is then *shocked* when the publisher wants to see her primary source.  I can buy ghosts, but it was hard for me to suspend my disbelief that it never occurred to anyone that a publisher would want her to show her work.
"Sad Farnsby" - An annoying neighbor episode.  It just wasn't funny. And the ghosts didn't have much to do this episode.
Matlock - "Belly of the Beast" and "No, No Monsters" - I caught up on the last two episodes.
The Equalizer - "The Fight for Life" and "Slay Ride" - I caught up on the last two episodes.
What We do the Shadows - I binged through 3 episodes, and now just have the penultimate episode to go.
Dune: Prophecy (HBOMax) - "In Blood, Truth" - Episode 5 and the penultimate episode.  This is getting ridiculous.  How are they already at the end of the season?  This short season nonsense is getting way out of hand!  Anyway this was another good episode, but I don't see how they wrap anything up by episode 6.
