What did you watch?
Yesterday was my first real "chill" day of Winter Break. I did do some "chore-y" stuff (e.g. I set up a new wireless router in my place), but I mostly listened to music and tried catching up on soaps... Also, I did fit in a Tubi Original flick:
soaps: GH - This is the only soap I'm actually totally caught up on right now, and I found out last evening that GH actually didn't air an episode yesterday - I'm guessing ABC preempted it for Dead Jimmy coverage... [roll]
DOOL - Fri's & Mon's ep's. Both Stephanie & NuPhilip and Alex & Joy have "done the deed", but Stephanie has a sex dream about Alex (they belong together!!) which nearly derails things with Philip. Chanel lays into Joy about being a lying liar - I hope Joy doesn't leave town... EJ continues to hold (Real)Rafe captive, but I think Jada is starting to get suspicious.
Y&R - Several episodes from c. New Years. Daniel discovers that Sharon now claims she didn't kill Heather, and Daniel confronts her about it. (Sharon still disposed of the body and framed Daniel - she belongs in jail!!)... There are several New Years parties, one of which Cricket and Danny Raviolli show up to... Ian Ward poisons pretty, sweet, dumb Tessa, and is discovered by Mariah, and then by Nick and NuFaith - I'm guessing this was not part of his plan! - Nick wants Ward arrested!... Aunty Jordan kidnaps Sharon, and I think has been ordered to kill Filis[sic!] - I'm guessing to frame Sharon?...
Til Death Do Us Part (Tubi) - A (very late!) 2024 Tubi Original film!
Starting off, I thought this could be one of the Tubi flicks that Lifetime might pick up for rebroadcast. But I don't think it will be, for two reasons: 1) its backstory is presented in an awkward fashion (or, at least, I found it awkward...); and 2) this film is probably too bloody(/gory) for Lifetime. Lifetime is not afraid to portray violence, but I think they don't like to show films that are too bloody or gory.
The film's plot summary has the gist covered: A wedding planner (Virginia Ma) must keep her best friend (Meghan Carrasquillo) and her groom safe from a psychotic <s>stranger</s> ex-of-the-bride (Maxwell Almono) who secretly threatens to murder the entire wedding party, etc.
And at this point the wedding planner dials 911 from her cell phone, right?

So, only the wedding planner and her assistant (Luke Nieves) know that this zillionaire tech guy (Almono) is killing people on the periphery of the wedding, and the wedding planner has to take this psycho's orders or he threatens to kill the bride and everyone else at the wedding.
Like I said, I found the presentation of the backstory (of the villain's motives) to be not well executed (they should have just done one "expository dump" rather than a series of confusing flashbacks). And while a pretty good thriller, this one was preposterous in several places, esp. the denouement (which only works if the wedding planner and bride conspire to sell the cops a bill of good on what happens!).
But, overall, I thought this was actually one of Tubi's better thrillers.
P.S. This is one of those flicks where you can't trust anybody (you can barely trust the wedding planner), so if you think somebody is compromised, they probably are!
P.P.S. We never get an explanation as to what happens to the villain's henchmen.
  What did you watch?

I watched:
The Bear (Hulu) - I binged episodes 4 through 7 of the first season. Episode 7, "Review" was the penultimate episode. (SPOILERS for episode 7!)  Sydney ignores Carmy's (Jeremy Allen White) wishes and secretly prepares and serves a dish to a critic.  The critic loves it and writes a glowing review about how the restaurant is so much better now. The restaurant is also in the middle of a digital upgrade allowing advance orders.  This system was supposed to be turned off and was left on by mistake.  After the review the restaurant is overwhelmed with orders. Carmy has a bit of breakdown and lashes out at Sydney, who them quits in the middle of it all as they are already understaffed.  I didn't notice at the time but a second employee also quit due to Carmy's behavior.  So he was actually down 2 people when the credits rolled.
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew (Disney+) - "We're Gonna Be in So Much Trouble" - I think this was the penultimate episode.  A lot happened, mainly with the kids and the pirates finding the kid's home planet.
Den of Thieves (blu-ray) 2018 crime movie starring Gerad Butler as a cop after a crew of bank robbers.  This movie reminded me a lot of "Heat." It even had similar domestic life beats between the cop and crooks.  It almost as if both this movie and "Heat" were based on the same source materials, but made a few changes.  I saw this in the theater and the only thing I remembered about it was I was surprised by how good it was, but didn't recall anything plot specific.  Watching it again and I was once again surprised just by how good it was.  Now I'm really looking forward to the sequel.
