I think they've done a good job of capturing the spirit of the original
series. The younger versions of Dexter, Deb, Harry and the other
characters we knew from the original series are doing well.
Again I'm pointing out that Jennifer Carpenter was absurdly skinny and
the actress playing her younger self is merely thin. I like it.

I know this series is having some legal challenges with accusations that
it is an ER reboot that doesn't acknowledge Michael Crichton. I can
certainly see the similarities, even if Noah Wyle's character is named
Dr. "Robby" Robinavitch and not Dr. Carter.
It's a complete ripoff but I just don't know what copyright violation
has taken place. When I was a kid, we had Medical Center (a Quinn Martin
production) and Emergency! There was nothing original about ER except
giving George Clooney's career a huge boost.
