It reminds me of Harry Harrison’s Stainless Steel Rat
I've heard of that series but never read it. Mind you, I enjoyed his
book Bill, the Galactic Hero and some of his other stuff so maybe I need
to track it down.... ;-)
Each book is relatively short so there's no reason not to give them a
try. You can easily finish a book a day.
