Royal-ish       (movie)         (8 pm, Hallmark Channel)

Lacey is an amusement park princess who befriends 8-year-old Rose, a
real-life princess, and is recruited by her handsome father to travel to
their kingdom and be the new governess. Stars Nichole Sakura and William
Moseley.

Sylvania?

Good American Family [new] (12:01 am, Hulu)

GAF!

Hyper Knife          [new]         (12:01 am, Hulu)

Featuring an acting masterclass by Korean stars Park Eunbin and Sul
Kyunggu, "Hyper Knife" follows Seok, a visionary neurosurgeon who
consistently pushes the boundaries of what's possible in the operating
room. Tortured by her need for perfection, Seok suddenly finds herself
tossed aside and stripped of her license after crossing her mentor.
Unwilling to let go of what made her great, Seok continues to carry out
back-alley operations until her former mentor comes looking for help.
Korean series; 8 episodes, the first two of which stream today.

Back-alley brain surgery? What could possibly go wrong?

Opry 100: A Live Celebration (live event) (8-11 pm, NBC)

Sorry. I misread that as "orgy".

Weathered: Inside the LA Firestorm (documentary) (10-11 pm, PBS)

Did you know this was climate change and not bad zoning and building and
fire codes, lack of environmental and forest management, and failure to
prevent and prosecute arson?

The Residence           [new; complete season 1]       (3:01 am, Netflix)

A brilliant, eccentric detective [Uzo Aduba] must solve a murder in the
White House residence--where the staff and guests at a state dinner are
all suspects.

I thought Wesley Snipes took care of this problem decades ago.

I also thought guests of state dinners are kept entirely out of the
residence portion of the White House.

an adaptation of Kate Andersen Brower's novel of the same
name, the series also stars Randall Park, Giancarlo Esposito (taking
over a role originally played by Andre Braugher, who died midway through
production; Esposito also once replaced Braugher in the cast of
Homicide: Life on the Street),

A script so bad it killed Braugher!

Edwina Findley, Ken Marino, Jason Lee,
Molly Griggs, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Bronson Pinchot, Mel Rodriguez, Jane
Curtin, Al Franken (playing a senator, naturally), and more. 8 episodes.

Happy Face        [new]           (3:01 am, Paramount+)

Dennis Quaid stars as the real-life serial killer Keith Hunter
Jesperson aka the "Happy Face Killer" in this eight-episode Paramount+
original.

I'm having trouble picturing good guy Dennis Quaid as a villain. The
worst he's ever been in movies is immature.

Revelations       (movie)           (3:01 am, Netflix)

A pastor is convinced that a divine revelation has called him to punish
the person guilty of a missing person case, while a detective assigned
to the case is haunted by her dead sister's shadow. Korean film; 2h 2m.

The detective is haunted HAUNTED by painful memories, self doubt, and
guilt? Gosh that's original. We even saw a genuine haunting on a tv
series called, I forget.

Sing Sing (movie; streaming premiere) (3:01 am, Max)

Divine G, imprisoned at Sing Sing for a crime he didn't commit, finds
purpose by acting in a theatre group alongside other incarcerated men in
this story of resilience, humanity, and the transformative power of art.
1h 47m.

The entire premise is a straight line!

Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light [new] (9 pm, PBS)

Finally! Am I grateful this didn't take yet another decade?

Marie Antoinette (season 2 premiere) (10 pm, PBS)

14-year-old Marie Antoinette (Emilia) is married to future Louis
XVI (Louis Cunningham) and must learn to navigate the French court. 8
episodes. [Season 1 aired from March-May, 2023, on PBS.]

14? I didn't realize so young. The first series was decent and wasn't a
French production as I recall.
