My longest workday of the week, and when I got home I mostly wanted to play my video game, so when I got home, all I watched was DOOL.

Cube Zero (blu-ray) 2004 Canadian sci-fi movie and prequel to "Cube"
Cube (blu-ray) 1997 Canadian sci-fi movie
I really liked "Cube". There is more than one sequel, I want to say, and I think I liked one sequel (which might have been "Cube Zero") but disliked the other one(?).

Yeah, there's Cube 2: Hypercube.  I know I saw it when it first came out, but I don't remember if it was good or not.  As I recall it was a bit more sci-fi and the cube was doing things that defied the laws of physics.
And a few years ago they made a Japanese remake of the original movie. I never saw it so I can't speak to the quality.

Escape Room (blu-ray) 2019 movie
This is, I believe, a Lionsgate flick, so it was locked up by Starz for years and years. I only got to see it about a year ago, 5 years after it was released.

Escape Room: Tournament of Champions (blu-ray) 2021 sequel which picks up where the first movie ended
See above. I have never seen this one, as I am pretty sure it's locked up by Starz. If it follows the pattern, I won't be seeing this one until 2026...  :/

They are both Sony movies, but yeah Starz has the sequel locked up.
If you liked the first Escape Room, then the sequel is definitely worth checking out.  If it's an option I'd say probably go with the theatrical cut, but the two versions are so different I can easily see some people preferring one over the other and I have no idea which you would prefer.
If it helps you decide, Deborah Ann Woll is in the theatrical cut, but completely removed from the extended cut.  While Isabelle Fuhrman is a new character who plays a significant role in the extended cut, but is not in the theatrical cut.  Jaims Frain also plays a significant role in the extended cut, but is not in the theatrical cut.  Honestly, if you can just watch both cuts because they are very different.
