He died in 2016. Long story, but he was in poor health for years.
"The Abyss" was one of his favorites.

Is Lifetime even trying anymore? It seems like lately all they've been doing is picking up Tubi originals for (re)airing on broadcast.

 Their recent Sunday night movies have mostly been Tubi repeats.

Yes, very disappointing. I hope that doesn't mean that Lifetime has cut the number of in-house productions, because I prefer Lifetime's TV flicks to Tubi's.
