Is anyone watching this show?
I feel like a couple of people around here are.

I like Alexander a lot - killing her off basically got me to quit
watching NCIS regularly. (Though this flip side of this is that even
she and Angie Harmon couldn't get me to watch "Rizzoli & Isles"
regularly!)...
It turns out she quit NCIS because she decided the work schedule was too
grueling. At the time, everyone said nice things, so it wasn't clear
then.

I thought it was clear at the time, or shortly thereafter, that she
wanted to leave because of the work schedule. I thought she said that
explicitly.
Yes, she said that it was because of the work schedule and the use of
multiple cameras. The point being is they always had to stay in
character because they never knew if they were in the shot or not.
I often wonder if actors who voluntarily leave successful shows early
ever look back at the (hundreds of?) millions they left behind.

Same with Lola Glaudini in Criminal Minds. I think she left voluntarily.
