Is anyone watching this show?
I feel like a couple of people around here are.

I like Alexander a lot - killing her off basically got me to quit
watching NCIS regularly. (Though this flip side of this is that even
she and Angie Harmon couldn't get me to watch "Rizzoli & Isles"
regularly!)...

It turns out she quit NCIS because she decided the work schedule was too
grueling. At the time, everyone said nice things, so it wasn't clear
then.

I thought it was clear at the time, or shortly thereafter, that she wanted to leave because of the work schedule. I thought she said that explicitly.
I often wonder if actors who voluntarily leave successful shows early ever look back at the (hundreds of?) millions they left behind.
Considering how insecure acting is as a profession, where most actors don't make enough to live on and don't work much anyway, giving up a serious paycheque has to be a really tough call. I can't imagine them doing so lightly and I'm sure they must have at least some regrets after they do, especially if they have dependents (or an expensive lifestyle that they can't give up).
Same with Lola Glaudini in Criminal Minds. I think she left voluntarily.
