An 18 year old who killed one of his passengers when he lost control of
his car while driving at ridiculous speeds - and injured the rest of
them - has received a reduced sentence simply for being black.

The mother of the woman killed is trying to understand why the man's
skin colour should be a factor in the sentence given his flagrant
carelessness in operating the car. So am I.
And he was violating a parole curfew just by being out that night.
Bonk
Parole is a sentence upon conviction of a prior crime. It means the
sentence is not served in custody, so if parole is violated, the convict
is required to finish his sentence in custody, either jail or prison
depending on how long the custody sentence would have been without
parole.
It's actually a condition of parole that one agrees NOT to commit
another crime.
Where's the explanation for why the judge of the earlier case didn't
acknowledge the parole violation, rescind parole, then order him to
serve out his time in prison?
It's shit like this that pushes people to vigilantism.
