Dogs: husky vs border collie agility

If you've ever watched agility trials, which are by weight group, in a
specific weight group, it's all border collies. Other weight groups have
a mix of breeds.
On the other hand, harness the husky and the border collie up to very heavy loads and see which one gets the job done.
Back in the 80s, my father decided to get a dog and finally settled on a husky for some reason I don't recall. Anyway, he learned that huskies had amazing ability to pull loads so he looked around and found a pup, both of whose parents were champion load pullers and bought that pup. I *think* he said the stronger of the parents could pull a TON and the other was not far behind.
My father made a few efforts to teach his dog to pull but I don't think he really had any idea how to do that so his dog never competed but I expect that dog could have been amazing if it had been properly trained.
