As long as the people doing the exam can be made as politically neutral as possible so that the results of the exam aren't seen as rigged, they would seem to go a long way to raising everyone's comfort level about the candidates. (I am NOT reassured when the candidate's personal doctor announces his/her opinion but allows for no other doctor to view the full results.) People could be reasonably sure that the candidate wasn't batty or in imminent danger of death from natural causes.

I don't see AOC running for President in 2028, but based on what I'veThe hell of it is that last November if it was a straight run off

between Trump or Biden/Harris at least in terms of international
policy that didn't amount to the United States saying "whatever you
want the answer is yes" to various foreign despots then Trump really
WAS the best candidate.
That said, it says something totally dysfunctional about the United
States that the nomination systems are set up in such a way either of
them can rise to the top. I understand Biden was a past Veep but a
system where he can stay in power well past his "best by" date is
dysfunctional and I say that knowing even Churchill left office in
much the same way in his last term. (Not that I'm suggesting any
portion of Biden's career comes close to matching WSC 1940-45)
