I just read this story about major progress in the search for a universal antivenom for snakebites and thought you might find it interesting:
https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cr5d0l7el36oIt's hard to believe that anyone would voluntarily let himself be bitten over 200 times by venomous snakes but he survived it somehow and now there's been real progress in the search for an antidote that would cover all snakes.
