A Fist Full of DollarsI hadn't seen this in a while and was in the mood for a
Western so I put it on. The Man With No Name arrives in
a small town controlled by two rival gangs and works to
liberate the town from them.
It's amazing that Italy looks like the Old West, isn't
it?
If I remember correctly, (many of) the spaghetti westerns
were actually filmed in Spain, not Italy.
IMDB confirms that Fistful of Dollars was indeed filmed in
Spain and goes on to list over 100 other films, some quite
famous, that were filmed there, including the entire
Dollars Trilogy, Cleopatra, Lawrence of Arabia, etc.:
I've never been to Spain but they apparently have terrain
that resembles the American Southwest, as well as Egypt
and the Arabian Peninsula.
