I graded most of the weekend, meaning I often had the TV turned off, and when I wasn't doing that I was mostly playing my video game (I'm making progress on eliminating my heroes' deficits!). So all I got through was soaps, and golf:
golf - Honestly, I think the golf was the more interesting of the two!
This was the Truist Championship, formerly the Wells Fargo Championship. This is the tournament that is normally played at Quail Hollow in Charlotte - but this year, next week's PGA Championship is at Quail Hollow. So this year's Truist was played at the Philadelphia Cricket Club(!!) in Phili.
Hot-tempered Shane Lowry had led Day 3, but he choked pretty hard (esp. at the end) on Day 4, ending up in a tie for second.
The eventual winner (by 2 strokes!) was Sepp Straka, who, IIRC, won his second tournament of the year with this one.
A lot of the usual suspects were lurking just down the leaderboard, including Justin Thomas (tied for second) who seems to be getting it back together. Should be a good PGA Championship this weekend.
 soaps: Thur's & Fri's ep's of both.
DOOL - Meh. Much of this was taken up with drama about who will buy the hospital - EJ or Xander. They seem to be leading us down the garden path that Johnny shot EJ, but as no one actually came out and said that's what happened, we know Johnny didn't do it. Chanel almost kills Sarah by pastry, prompting Chanel to "forgive" Johnny (huh?...). (Since when has Sarah had deadly allergies?!) In other news, Alex is pushing Stephanie to publish her manuscript, so I guess they're going to turn Stephanie into an author of trashy erotic fiction!
GH - Lulu is getting close to figuring out/proving that Gio is Brook Lynn's long-lost son. Brook Lynn and Chase go to Alexis for a legal opinion about adoption. Rocco and Danny are put to work as punishment for the alcohol poisoning incident. Sasha continues to unnecessarily be a bitch to Willow (I can't wait until Sasha is taken down for being the judgemental lying liar she is!). Brad leaves town. Drew continues to blackmail Portia (though he's probably setting her up!). Jenz Sidwell offers to buy Sonny's peers, but Sonny turns him down.
 What did you watch?

I watched:
Doctor Who (Disney+) "The Story & the Engine" - The Doctor's companion is still insisting he get her home instead of nearly getting her killed each week.  This week to try and fix whatever is wrong he makes a stop in Lagos in 2019.  The Doctor also takes this opportunity to get a haircut from a local barber he knows, and of course stumbles upon a new adventure.  I had a couple of minor questions, but overall, I really liked this one.
Step Up Revolution (3D blu-ray) 2012 sequel which movies the action to Miami.  This means lots of gratuitous shots of women in bikinis. Anyway, this one follows the adventures of a new dance crew, "The Mob" lead by "Sean" (Ryan Guzman) and his best friend Eddy (Misha Gabriel). The Mob basically breaks in and vandalizes places, for art, I guess.  I don't think I've ever noticed before now, but "The Mob" is basically the evil dance group that other groups battle against in the other movies. They force people to watch them dance.  That's exactly what an evil group does.  This is probably the weakest movie in the franchise.  I mean, would you want to watch a movie about the guy who dances in the subway train after the doors close and you can't get away?  This is pretty much that movie.  And none of the characters are likeable. Especially Sean's so-called friend Eddy, who goes out of his way to be a jerk because he doesn't like Ryan's new girlfriend.  Sure, she's the daughter of the guy who runs the evil company that's trying to take away their home.  But Eddy has to know he exists in a dance movie.  An evil company trying to take away your home just goes with the territory. There is one bright spot at the end when Moose and the crew from Step Up 3 show up to help save the day.  It's not a Step-Up movie without Moose.
Step Up: All In - (3D blu-ray) 2014 sequel which picks up shortly after part 4.  Sean and Eddy have moved The Mob from Miami to Los Angeles to try and make it as dancers.  When work isn't coming their way Eddy takes the Mob back to Miami. But Sean stays in L.A. and gets the idea to form a crew and enter a dance competition that will fund them for years.  So, Sean recruits Moose and together they recruit the members of dance crews from all the other Step Up movies, including "Andie" (Briana Evigan) from Step Up 2.  Sean and Andie basically become the love interests in this movie, when they aren't battling for control of the dance crew. But in a twist no one could have possibly seen coming, Eddy returns with The Mob and the two friends are forced to compete against each other.  But to make matters worse, there is of course an evil dance group.  The evilness of this dance group is more powerful than either Sean or Eddy's dance crew can defeat on their own.  But what if the dance crews from the first 3 Step Up movies, team up with the dance crew from Step Up 4? If they went All In, maybe, just maybe, they would have enough good dance power to defeat the evil dance crew.  I forgot how good 5 is.  And the 3D is stunning.  3 and 5 are by far the best in the franchise. "Does this always have to end up in a big giant dance battle?"
A Simple Favor (4K disc) 2018 mystery movie directed by Paul Feig and starring Anna Kendrick as a single mom who befriends the mother (Blake Lively) of her young son's friend.  Blake asks Anna for a simple favor, watch her young son, and then lots of very spoilerly things happen. Henry Golding also stars as Blake's husband.  This was mostly background noise with the director's commentary.
Another Simple Favor (Amazon streaming) 2025 sequel, once again directed by Paul Feig, which brings back the entire cast from the first movie. This is really hard to talk about without massive spoilers for the first movie.  The first movie is a mystery, and there are lots of twists and turns I don't want to spoil.  I can say Anna is once again asked to do a favor, or more like threatened into doing a favor, and as a result she agrees to fly to Italy and be a bride's maid.  But once there, lots of bad things happened to her.  This was not as good as the first movie, but at least they managed to bring back the entire original cast, and I appreciate that sort of thing.
Watson - "My Life's Work Part 2" - Season 1 finale which has Moriarty and Watson pretty much going head to head against each other.  This was a surprisingly good finale, made possible by Watson, and I think his entire team, being willing to throw away the Hippocratic Oath.  The only weak link in this episode, and the series in general, was Randall Park as Professor Moriarty.  I have liked Park in everything I've seen him in except for this show.  Moriarty is clearly supposed to be evil, and Park is just way too likeable to pull off evil.
