Maybe I don't understand, but it seems relevant that Lincoln's banner
didn't go up while he was in office (and threatening his term-limits).
Oh, and there were no term limits on the presidency while Lincoln was in
office.
I'm aware. But I thought the idea of Lincoln doing it was instructive.
