My guess would be "Sherlock Holmes" fatigue.
I don't think so. I watched the Sherlock Holmes movie with the
submarine (private life?) within the last month or two and had no
problem paying attention to it.
It seems like every couple years, someone makes some variant of Sherlock
Holmes, the latest with Holmes being an oriental woman.
I've not heard of that one
