avoided using the pain-killer as much a possible.

The oral surgeon's assistant got pissed at me when I refused to sign the
opioid consent form. I needed two teeth extracted. The surgeon told me
to take two extra-strength over-the-counter pain killers.

I agree with you. Why find out you might get addicted?

The damn stuff doesn't kill pain anyway. It distracts you by forcing
your brain to release lots of dopamine. That's why it makes you feel
good.

BUT you inevitably fail to recapture it because subsequent highs
are never as good.

Yeah. It's fucking dangerous for that reason. You get so damn desperate.
