What Did You Watch?
soaps: GH - Fri's ep. Nina admits to Sasha that she threw Nina and her baby daddy under the bus to Ric to try to save custody of the kids for dumb Willow - for once, Sasha doesn't double-down on stupid and let's it go. I can't remember if it was before or after this, but then Nina goes to Drew - Drew wants to go after Nina for drugging him with the hooker, but Nina reminds him that they will both lose if Willow finds out... I think Nina talked Drew out of doing anything. Michael seems less down on Willow after she delivered his and Sasha's baby - at the end, they together show their kids the new baby, which a jealous Drew observes... The rest of this was Natalia or Sonny stuff, which I don't care about... Cody spends some after work time with NuNuNuMolly (who is probably my favorite Molly, though I also liked NuMolly (2 Mollys ago) a lot too), and in a foreshadowing, he mentions Britt (Kelly Thiebaud, the Britt actress, is apparently soon returning to GH).
golf - The Canadian Open went to a 4-hole playoff this year. In the end, Kiwi Ryan Fox hit a perfect approach shot on the fourth attempt at the par-5 18th hole, while American Sam Burns flubbed his approach to the green. Burns parred (for the fourth time in the playoff!), and while Fox probably should have eagled it, he was left with an easy putt for birdie, and the win.
The Last of Us (Max) - Ep's #2.1-2.3.
Ep. #2.1 was slow, and was mostly set up.
Ep. #2.2 was a barn-burner - very likely to be the best episode of season #2. Lots happens. But the ending is pretty much a disaster for the series. I'm guessing this development is straight out of the second video game, and if so I now understand why the second video game is so divisive among the game's fandom.
From a TV series standpoint, I suspect this development will be fatal, however.
Ep. 2.3 is the aftermath of ep. #2.2, and it ends up with Ellie and her new (girl?)friend going off on a revenge! REVENGE!! mission on their own. The problem is, 1) this is not likely to be very interesting, esp. 'cos they're likely to draw it out; and, 2) they are now introducing a bunch of new elements that I don't like and don't care about. Again, I'm sure all of this from the second video game - if so, I now have a lot less desire to ever play the sequel game!
Just 4 more episodes to go - I may try to finish this show out today.

After the season 2 ending, I was on the fence if I would even finish out the season.  I ultimately did, but hopefully I have enough will power to not watch season 3.
