Doomsday (4K disc) 2008 movie written and directed by Neil Marshall. The
movie opens in Scotland following the escape of the Rage, I mean Reaper
virus.  To protect the population, England orders Scotland to be
completed isolated and walled off, leaving everyone inside to die.  Then
27 years later (not 28, but 27) the Rage, I mean Reaper virus pops up
again in England.  The British prime minister (Alexander Siddig) orders
an elite unit lead by Rhona Mitra to sneak into Scotland and locate a
cure for the virus since they've recently discovered there are still
people alive in Scotland.  They assume if people are still alive after
28, I mean 27 years, they must have a cure.  Once inside Mitra must
track down a scene chewing Malcolm McDowell and then Escape From New
York, I mean Escape from Scotland, with the cure.  I haven't watched
this since it first came out.  It was OK I guess, as long as you don't
start to wonder what does living in a post apocalyptic society have to
do with growing a mohawk and dying your hair.  And definitely don't ask
how the existence of people still alive in Scottland could be kept
secret given the number of satellites in orbit that England has no
control over.

I actually enjoy this movie - I think it's underrated, if you like
brainless sci-fi actioners!
I agree. I don't remember the name but the description is one I
definitely recall. Wasn't there some long driving sections with long
shots showing the Scottish landscape where the bad guys were after
Rhona Mitra towards the end?  Not a brilliant movie but one that you
can enjoy for the action.

And some other stuff I don't feel like summarizing.

Was it DOOL?!!  ;p

Only Ian would watch that. LOL.
Hey, me too. Except I wouldn't summarize it either.
I watched some other stuff over the past few days that I'll mention
here such as Remi Maleck doing a fine job in the movie, THE AMATEUR.
Where in he plays a CIA cyber geek that deals with crypto and much of
the surveillance tech they've come to rely on. He's leading a
relatively ordinary life until his wife is killed by a bunch of
terrorists and the CIA apparently isn't interested in taking them out
as they are too low level. So he decides to take on the job.
Surprising everyone by not getting killed on day one.
I also saw the first episode of REVIVAL. Where in we had Jag's top
lawyer, I mean the Sheriff of a small town having issues with his
daughter who is quitting the police force there to move to Chicago. Or
at least that was the plan until one night there is a strange
interference on all the radios and then suddenly everyone that died on
a given day is alive again. Not just alive but standing by the graves
in pristine versions of the clothes they were buried in.
Unlike most other shows they aren't after brains, just wanting to get
back to their lives. Needless to say this causes numerous issues. That
would be more than enough to build a show around but there's more than
meets the eye with the returned people.
I'm watching it tonight. And no, that wasn't a spoiler for me, five minutes after I read one, I've forgotten what it said.
 What did you watch?
