TRUMP BOMBS IRAN: MICHAEL KNOWLES INSTANT REACTION:
President Trump has just announced a full-scale, successful bombing campaign
on Iran's nuclear facilities, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. Michael
Knowles gives his unfiltered reaction to one of the most consequential
military moves in modern history. What does this mean for America, Israel,
and the future of the Middle East?

FAMILY GUY:
"The Fat Lotus". Peter suspects Lois of betraying his trust with Quagmire at
a swanky vacation resort.
Didn't they make a spoof about streaming shows a couple weeks ago? I was
bored, TBH, but did laugh at Consuela refusing to clean up Brian's mess.

"Ty Died". Ty is tired of his family thinking he's not important enough to
be assassinated. He'll show them!
OK, I wasn't expecting the guy who wasn't sppsd to assassinate Ty actually
did it and I did enjoy their takes on the Hades mythology. Sisyphus is a hard
worker, tho!

What did you watch?
The Simpsons
36ABF07 (P.S. I Hate You)
Interesting episode with a decent character focus, and surprising but
precisely focused uses of unusually harsh language (in particular
Marge's last line). Feels like the sort of Marge episode we don't tend
to see. A few things a bit silly (Artie has no idea Marge was angry
about his busy hands??), but didn't wreck it.
Previous episode stuff
7F22: The initial crisis has shades of Homer's angry letter to Mr. Burns
(which in that case is accidentally mailed, not stolen)
UABF15: Coda with Tim Meadows reminds me of what's actually a scene with
an opposite theme, Marge's many apology letters
New resident of Springfield Retirement Castle
A familiar name in the Also Starring portion of the credits threw me
until I learned what was going on: Mo Collins. Did Jimbo sound just a
tad off to anyone else? It seems Pamela Hayden has announced (a few
months ago) that she's retiring from Simpsons work, though perhaps some
lines are yet to be heard. Mo (maybe known best for her half decade on
MADtv) is apparently taking over Jimbo, though I do not know if Milhouse
and other Hayden characters will go to her too.
I haven't checked carefully yet, but did I miss any other revoiced bits
for those characters in recent episodes? Am I the last one to hear about
this?
Also, it strikes me as interesting that after a few decades of major
character retirements and recasting because of death, quitting,
celebrities' not returning, and race alignment, this might be the first
example of one based in actual professional retirement. Am I missing any?
