A shotgun firing a slug (not buckshot) is as accurate as any rifle and can
reach out and touch you with precision from a lot farther away than a pistol.
And it has the power to send that slug through the engine block of a car so
there's not a lot of things the bad guy can hide behind that will protect him
from you.
slug could go through an engine block. Now I see the appeal!
