death of Michael Madsen

Michael Madsen was an actor I always liked, even though he'd often chew
the scenery.

He did some television. Very early he was in the pilot for the
television adaptation of Diner but that was never picked up for series.

I first recall him as the egotistical ball player, little more than a
plot device, who had to die so Robert Redford could join the team in The
Natural.

His first tv series, which I never saw, was the Romeo and Juliet themed
Our Family Honor, about a family of cops fighting a mob family, with a
romance thrown in.

He usually played a heavy, but played the father in Free Willy.

His most memorable role was the sadistic Mr. Blonde in Reservoir Dogs,
and then another half dozen roles for Quentin Terantino.

IMDb lists 17 credits either completed or in post production, plus one
in pre production.
