Rant: I find YouTube channels made up of uncited video clips from

When was this speech made? It does not say. However, the speaker
references an opinion piece which I found on line written March 21,
2013, so this speech took place perhaps a week later or so.

It puts what the speaker says into context because this was the height
of the use of violence to intimidate speakers whose views on Islam are
unapproved. We're talking about attempted murder here.

The speaker knew several such people at the time.

I think we've forgotten how bad this period was in the UK.

He also discusses an Islamic scholar who was head of a studies program
forced out and replaced with a far more doctrinaire Islamic scholar who
teaches the use of violence in Islam.

It made me laugh when he pointed out the willingness of Christianity to
change and evolve, what with the Church reversing the doctrine in which
all Jews were blamed as Christ killers starting in the 12th century
"within my lifetime". Hahahahaha. If we wait enough centuries, progress!

The speech by Daniel Johnson is presented in its entirety; the YouTuber
makes comments at the end.

The article I mentioned was this:

The Sorry Truth Is That the Virus of Anti-Semitism Has Infected the
British Muslim Community

It pains me to have to admit this but anti-Semitism isn't just tolerated
in some sections of the British Muslim community; it's routine and
commonplace. Any Muslims reading this article - if they are honest with
themselves - will know instantly what I am referring to. It's our dirty
little secret. You could call it the banality of Muslim anti-Semitism.

"Modernizing" religion flies in the face of its rationale. Religion is about faith and tradition, not vogue.

Which is exactly why Christianity hasn't changed in 2000 years, right?
Christianity has evolved, it hasn't been deliberately "modernized" in a transitive sense. Try suggesting to any zealot that he update his beliefs and he'll either pray for you or burn you at the stake.
