Meanwhile, the addition of Sean to the offshoot helps explain Danny's move
from his native New York to Boston.

 Not really. He has two sons, one of which moved away somewhere long ago and
Danny never even visits, let alone uproots himself and gives up that sweet
NYPD pension and post-retirement bennies for him.

Yeah, I'm wondering if this spinoff will ever reference any of:
1) Danny's other (older?) son,
2) Danny's real "love", Baez, or
3) Danny's dead wife (when the show callously killed off Amy Carlson's character in order to save on cast salaries!)
4) Any of the rest of the Reagans!!
