Yesterday I ran errands in the morning, and then procrastinated most of the day. And yesterday was weird - all of the main sports (Wimbledon, Scottish Open) were on in the morning before noon, so there wasn't much on in the afternoon.
Anyway, yesterday I watched:
soaps: Y&R - I think Wed's thru Fri's ep's. More drama in France - Lily is all verklempt after having a dream about Damian and Cane, but throws herself at Damian afterwards which Cane witnesses, depressing him. More silliness with Kyle and Audra - Audra is still trying to seduce Kyle (which Cane picks up on). Adam returns to Genoa City, and confirms to Chelsea that Cane is Aristotle Dumas; Claire tells Adam that Cole died. Holden tries to comfort a grieving Claire. Claire and Adam observe this, and Claire tells Adam that she thinks Holden is spying for Cane - so Adam offers Holden a job to test him... Next week, it looks like they are going to kill off Damian - he just joined the show! and they're going to kill him off already?!
Little Girl in the Woods (LMN) - New LMN flick filmed in the darkest, coldest depths of Can-a-der!! (IMDb doesn't say where - I'm going to guess it's just semi-remote Ontario, 60-90 miles outside of Toron-ter...)
Alana Hawley Purvis (she was just in Sat night's new LMN flick!!) is the lead here - in the film's open, her daughter tragically dies while talking on the phone while the daughter is hiking in the darkest, coldest depths of Can-a-der!!
It's then some time later (they don't say how long) and the woman is now in a support group with 4 other women who lost daughters(?) as well. The support group is to go on a trip, out into the darkest, coldest depths of Can-a-der!! to visit the site where Hawley Purvis' character's daughter died... as part of the "healing process"(?! - yeah, I don't get it either).
Of course, out in the depths of darkest, coldest depths of Can-a-der!! things go wrong, like a bear eating their map and their sat phone. So the women go looking for a new phone to call for help, and come across an unoccupied cabin, where... they discover a teen girl (Juliette Hawk - she was just in Sat night's new LMN flick too!!) chained up in the crawlspace below the house, and with obvious signs of abuse.
The women rescue the girl from captivity, which enrages the backwoods villain of the piece (Roark Critchlow, who also had a bit part in Sat night's new LMN flick!!).
Now the women are on the run from this backwoods loonie (see what I did there!!) and his clan. Will they all survive, and save the captive girl?! Or are they all doomed?!!
Anyway, like I said - I actually thought this one wasn't bad.
