I went and saw the new 'Superman' movie.
 
I wish I hadn't.  The leads didn't standout but weren't horrible.  There
were a few good bits but they were overwhelmed by the tasteless parody
"jokes". 

That seems to be happening with all the superhero movies. They don't
take their own material seriously. Everything's a parody, a sly wink, a
fourth-wall break.

Maybe they should try sincere movies again.
